"Troop ship Narragansett run aground" - the ship is the USS Narragansett. The area on which the boat has run aground is called Bembridge Ledge.
The incident occurred on 31 January 1919, enabling a correction to the current date range.
The ship is only seen at distance in this clip, so here's a closer photo of the incident......
