    Titles read: "TRAVELLING IN STATES!"

Mount Washington, United States of America.
Various shots of a specially built steam engine pulling a load up Mount Washington. The engine boiler has been built at an angle to the wheel-frame so the water keeps steady as the engine climbs the steep incline.

    Dolomites, Italy.
On a mountain railway in the Dolomites, we see a snow plough clearing snow from a railway track. A woman brushes snow off a ski. People travel on a cable car from Cortina to Pocol (?), get out at the top of the mountain and ski or toboggan down the slopes.

    Bavaria, Germany
Various shots of people travelling through the snow in a horse-drawn sleigh. We then see an aeroplane fitted with skis standing on the snow; two women get into the plane. Several shots from the plane as we fly over the mountains; we see the shadow of the plane with skis on the snow as we fly along.
