"Tottenham Hotspurs" should read Tottenham Hotspur.

"Captains toss" - the two captains are Joe Harvey of Tottenham Hotspur, and Ron Burgess of Newcastle United.

"Walker" is Tommy Walker. "Simpson" is Ronnie Simpson. "Medley" is Les Medley. "Robledo" is George Robledo. "Ditchburn" is Eddie Ditchburn. "Duquemin" is Len Duquemin. "Nicholson" is Bill Nicholson. "Milburn" is Jackie Milburn. "Mitchell" is Bobby Mitchell. "Bailey" should read Baily, (its Eddie Baily - there are four mentions of Bailey to change including the one in tags).

Joe Harvey was Captain of Newcastle and Ron Bugess was Captain of Spurs. I was at the game and Bobby Mitchell of Newcastle was brilliant on the day giving a certain Alf Ramsey a torrid afternoon. I am still a season ticket holder at Spurs.
