Titles read: "USA - "TITAN" ROCKET FIRED".

Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States of America.

Several shots of the "Titan intercontinental ballistic missile" ready for test firing. Technicians work around the base of the rocket. Several shots of the skeleton stand folding away. Commentator says this is "the first of what America calls her 'second generation rockets'".

L/S of the rocket blasting off. It remains anchored for several seconds before finally rising from the pad. Great panning shot as the Titan flies up towards the heavens. Commentator says "though Titan is primarily a weapon, it will certainly play its part in man's struggle to reach outer space".
