01:10:22 Crowds gathered in front of open air stage listening to speaker. Crowd gathered in factory yard listening to speaker. C/U bowler hatted man speaking.

01:10:43 Austen Chamberlain with his wife and children working in their garden. Chamberlain seated on deck chair reading. He is smoking. He smiles at the camera.

01:11:00 Group of miners gathered at pit head. One of the men is holding a Davy safety lamp. Children, dressed in scruffy clothes. They are gathering fire wood into sacks. Children are trying to break coal. Banner reading: 'Miners Wives Against A Strike'. Women are gathered around.

01:11:27 Women picket outside teashop. March of striking teashop ladies. Some wave at the camera.

01:11:42 Packed steam train, people are hanging from the side of the carriages. (Voice over suggests this is in France).

01:12:03 Crowd gathered outside the US treasury building after a bomb has been thrown. Torn papers and curtains on the pavement. Overturned vehicles in the street looked over by police and national guardsmen. Damage to the office of J. P. Morgan. American troops in the streets.

01:12:33 Communists being deported from America. The walk along a dock onto a ship. They are being sent back to Russia.

01:12:47 American President Warren Harding speaking from back of railway carriage. Harding gathers for photographs with supporters. C/U Harding.

01:13:04 Prohibition scenes. Barrels being smashed. Bottles of alcohol being broken. Liquid pouring down drain. Barrel being smashed. Men pouring bottles of beer into trough. C/U beer pouring away. Waterwagon spraying streets in Arizona with waste liquor. Crowd walk behind the wagon in interest. Man follows the wagon catching drink in hat.
