    Illertissen, Bavaria, Germany.

    Scenes from Europe's biggest bee keeping centre at Illertissen. Bee stings are used in cures for gout, sciatica and rheumatism. Various shots as man in protective clothing selects a bee as a specimen, with the aid of tweezers. The bee is pressed against specially treated paper and leaves its sting there. Various shots of German chemists testing liquids in test tubes etc. A girl packs phials of bee serum into small boxes. A chemist mixes ointment with the aid of a large machine. Another machine fills and packs ointment into tubes ready for use.
