    Various shots of sailors and crew on board HMS Carlisle on the way to the island of Tristan da Cunha. Supplies in boxes are lowered over the side of the ships and into a launch. Sailors row towards the island. Locals help bring the boat ashore and unload the mail and supplies. Panning shot of locals on the shore.

    Outside the small English church - clergymen make their way from the building in a small procession. More shots of locals. Shots of penguins on rocks. Men are pulled along on a ox-drawn cart. A woman uses a spinning wheel. The boats make their way back to the ship.
