  • In This scene:

    "C/U patient being handed face steamer which opens the pores of the skin. C/U patient placing her face in the steamer. Pan from beautician to patient as she lifts her head up after the steam treatment. "

    The "patient" is my mum! Mrs Margaret ("Margot") Varley. She was actually an employee of the Beauty Farm standing in as a patient! We left the UK in early 1962 to come to Australia where she worked for another beauty salon in Perth called "Silhouette". Later she became the manager of "Woman's World".

    Mum died in 1994 from MS. Pity she couldn't have seen this - then again, she generally disliked photos of herself!
