  • Awesome video but just a note on the description: This is a 'bumps' race which means boats chase each other in single file, each crew attempting to catch and 'bump; the boat in front without being caught by the boat behind. So the boat behind is actually the winning boat. The cox isn't raising his hand in triumph but conceding. To 'bump' you have to make physical contact with the boat in front, the cox is attempting to prevent this but does it too late.
