Line drawings show how large a battery would have to be if it alone were used to produce a spark. A car with a battery of six cells is indicated just by the running board of a car. Then a 8,000 cell battery is indicated by a grid which completely covers the car. Intertitle reads: "However, thanks to Faraday in 1932, it is possible to use only six cells to induce, in a coil, electricity strong enough for our purpose."
The theory of induction is explained by a graphic animation showing a switch and a simple cell. Spark plug action is animated.
