He is holding a stuffed owl which he explains will bring the crows flocking as they hate owls. The owl is fixed to a branch and the father pulls a string which moves its wings. The father then hides with Tommy and his gun and starts to make the call of the crow. M/S of the two inside a hide made from rocks and pieces of wood.
