    No titles. The Pearl Dancers.

    Pathe Studio, London.

On a set dressed to look like a drawing room we see a man in the background playing piano while a man in the foreground in a white shirt, floppy tie, cummerbund and trousers does a kind of balletic / Russian or Cossack dance around the floor. He does several very high scissor jumps - very impressive. He dances out of shot.

Another man dressed in a similar costume enters and does more acrobatic / ballet dancing to a more jaunty tune. Amazing stuff - he seems to defy gravity. Lots of Cossack kicking. The other man joins him for a brief finale of synchronised dancing.

Intertitle: 'Slow-motion shows in detail some of the extraordinary steps and leaps.'

Slow-motion footage (mute) shows closer shots of the two men in action. (First shot held out of rack.) Footage is decomposing.

Note: according to old database record the dancers are Myron and Harry Pearl from the Coliseum.

Fantastic surprise. The dancers are my grand dad Harry and his brother Myron.

ronsboy- If you are still active, we have been looking for Myron (Mike) Pearl. He taught my mother ballet in Lawton Michigan. We have photos and info. Please contact-snowotter@aol.com
