    Full titles read: "EVER IN SEARCH OF NEWS - Our Cameraman films, for first time, centuries old celebration of 'The Palia' - each Ward of the City has its Official Flag Waver!"

    L/S's of flag waving outside magnificent old building (could be a Cathedral of Church). They walk across the steps of the building. Various M/S's of the flag wavers making their way through the city. M/S of man in traditional costume waving large flag.

    Intertitle reads: "The great event is a horse race round the City Square - equivalent to Piccadilly Circus - the Corners have to be barricaded with mattresses!" Various shots of the horse race around a very crowded square. Good C/U of jockey (probably the winner) with his horse.

    N.B. I think this race is also known as the Palio. MD
