The Lord Mayor of London, Sir William Waterlow (or possible Sir William Phene Neal), arrives at St Paul's Cathedral for the memorial / funeral service for the dead of the R 101 airship crash. Mr James Ramsay MacDonald and others go into the cathedral. David Lloyd George walks in. Representatives of the countries of the Empire and other nations. A double decker bus pulls up in front of the steps bearing the widows and grieving families of the victims. Prince Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor) arrives. Good MS of Prince of Wales as he leaves the service.

Pan across massive crowd lining the route of the funeral procession. Soldiers march with rifles reversed. In the heart of the long procession come the coffins borne on carriages. Shots of foreign dignitaries marching.

Intertitle reads: "... to the quiet of 'God's Acre' in the shadow of their Aerodrome - Air Minister to humble rigger - united in death - to sleep forever together!"

Cardington, Bedfordshire.

Lorries drive at a slow crawl carrying coffins of the victims. Troops, mourners and dignitaries walk along behind. Floral tributes are carried by men in uniform. People line the route.

The procession arrives at the small cemetery - the massive hangers of the airfield are visible in the background. Mourners for the dead of the R101 walk into the cemetery to watch the coffins - draped in the Union Jack being lowered into a communal grave. Shot of priest blessing the graves. Men of the RAF fire a volley of shots. Buglers play a tribute.
