    L/S of the people and troops lined up, L/S of many people out to pay their respects. Troops march slowly through the town, M/S as they march along past towers which are emitting smoke. M/S of horses with black plumes on their heads, they are pulling the coffin on a high bier draped with a cover. M/S of sailors marching slowly through the streets. L/S of huge crowds, the camera pans across them. M/S of the horses and coffin again, M/S as they lift it off the bier.

    M/S of the cortege lined up ready to go, the camera pans across them. M/S as they stand around, the band marches past followed by people carrying flags, troops walk past and salute, more people carrying flags follow. C/U of Herr Ebert's face, he is in an open coffin. M/S as the people file past the open grave to pay their respects. L/S of people crowding the streets. M/S of people queuing to see him. M/S as the camera pans up to a plaque commemorating him on the wall.
