  • The race took place over the 11th and 12th May 1957.

    The No 1 car mentioned on line 2 is the Fiat 600 of Remo Pola.

    "Marquis de Portago" - his car is a Ferrari 335S, as is that of Peter Collins, mentioned 2 lines later.

    Stirling Moss's car is a Maserati 450S.

    "Car 437" - its a Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

    "Car 535" - its Piero Taruffi in his Ferrari 315S.

    "Car 507" - that's Jean Guichet, in a Ferrari 500 Mondial.

    "Car 532" - that's Wolfgang von Trips, in a Ferrari 335S.

    NB - Although this film has a run-time of 03:19, it actually concludes after 01:49. Thereafter there's a blank screen, followed by a countdown clock, then the Pathe cockererel heralding a different story.
