    Robinson won his Victoria Cross after becoming the first British pilot to shot down a German airship. Details of the action for which he was awarded the medal can be found here...

    In 1917 he was captured by the Germans - although he survived the war, he sadly died on 31 December 1918 of Spanish Flu.
