    Aintree Race Course, Liverpool, Merseyside. Shots of horses in parade ring. Large crowds are watching the horses. MS of various horses - their names can just be read on their stable blankets. The jockeys ride their horses out onto the course.

    Intertitle reads: "After breaking the tapes once, they got away to a good start." Different angle of false start. They're off properly on the second go.

    Grakle was trained by Tom Coulthwaite on Cannock Chase and owned by Mr C R Taylor.
