    Intertitle reads: Over 50 million tons of shipping (a large proportion of it ours) passed through this "Gateway" last year..." Several shots of large cranes lifting cargo and ships, some sound their horns. L/S of busy dockside.

    Intertitle reads: "But, Hamburg's pride is the giant express liner "Europa" - to beat which the "Cunard" are building an even faster and larger floating palace."

    L/S's and M/S's of the enormous liner blowing it's horn and setting sail from the dock.
