This is a duplicate copy of item 977.29 - check for best quality.

Titles read: "THE FIFTH TEST MATCH".

    Oval, London.

Various shots of the Fifth Test Match between England and Australia. A huge crowd watches as Hammond of England wins the toss. Several shots of the cricket match in progress. Len Hutton of England reaches his century at 206. Soon after Maurice Leyland reaches his century too. Rain stops play and shields are wheeled onto the pitch.

Later in the evening we see more shots of the match. Hutton and Leyland "continue their victory march". At the end of the first day the score is 347 for 1. People run onto the pitch.

Followed by brief mute cuts from the continuation of the match (see 38/68 for full story) showing more shots of the match, the crowds cheering, men of both teams shaking hands (Len Hutton and Don Bradman?) and Hutton (?) talking to the press after the match.

There seems to be some cuts on the end of this item.
