    Item title reads - The City acclaims the new King.

    London.

    L/S of a procession of carriages riding past large crowds, the camera pans across them. Various shots as a cannon is fired, and official reads to the crowd. L/S as everyone gives King Edward VIII three cheers.

    We hear Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin's voice over shots of radio equipment and people listening. He urges everyone to support the young King. M/S of Buckingham Palace, M/S archive footage of King Edward VIII (later Duke of Windsor) when he was Prince of Wales in naval uniform, he hands papers to someone off-screen.
