  • "dates and locations unclear or unknown" - the thatched construction is located in Trafalgar Square, as the statue above the thatcher's head is clearly Nelson's Column.

    Also, the building seen behind the thatcher at 00:18 is the National Portrait Gallery, again at Trafalgar Square.

    At 01:14, a barrage balloon can be spotted.

    Although the clip is currently dated as being 1943, the footage MAY actually be from May 1944, when a thatched cottage was placed in the square to encourage recruits for Britain's harvesting. That particular cottage caught fire on 10 May 1944.
