    Student farmers.

    Location of events unknown - somewhere in the north of England.

    Young men and women from a land club set off on their bicycles to help out on a farm during the weekend. Various shots as a horse-drawn plough digs up the potatoes and the volunteers gather them. Various shots as they stack wheat. M/S as girls drink tea on a break. Various shots as the men pitchfork silo into the store. Crops are gathered and put onto a cart. Others store them in a barn. M/S as they sit and eat at the end of the day.

    iI find your films an excellent source for research. However, the description is often inacurate. I appreciate you cannot be a specialist in every technical area. In the case of this film it is not a \"plough digs up the potatoes\", but a spinner lifting the potatoes. I believe it is oats being stacked, not wheat. The men are not \"pitchforking silo\" but are pitching grass into a silo to make silage. I believe it is (thrashed) straw being stacked in the Dutch barn, not the crop.
