Titles read: "STIRLINGS IN THE MAKING".

    Somewhere in England.

M/S of a new Stirling aeroplane being wheeled out of a aircraft hangar. Two men sit looking at a blueprint of the Stirling bomber and discuss it briefly - one says "It looks like a nice arrangement to me George".

We then see various shots of men and women working in a production plant, making the different parts of the plane. Great footage of women at work in wartime machinery factory, wearing turbans, dungarees and floral overalls over trousers. The fuel tank bay assembly and wing section assembly areas are staffed 100% by females. Nice shots of a girl riveting plates on the fuselage. The plane starts to take shape; fuselage and wings put into place.

Back to the two men at the blueprint, discussing the load that the plane can handle. The first man says it can go to Berlin and back with a full load. M/S of Stirling taxiing. L/S of it taking off. Brief view of the cockpit and pilots during flight. M/S of the plane flying away from camera.
