We see some famous actors and actresses during "Those off stage moments - when footlights no longer glare - " Paper records state that this story features a garden party but it looks more like some kind of fair.

Large crowds of people in the foreground of the first shots, tents in the background. A man standing on a platform bangs a drum. We see Jack Payne in a "cheery off-moment." Six girls in shorts and checked shirts dance to the music played by a few members of the Jack Payne band. Just visible is a poster that reads: "BBC Cabaret Teas." A fairground ride can be seen in the background. We then see a group of cowboys in very large hats doing some lasso practice - the main lasso demonstrator ends his routine by catching his own backside in the lasso!

M/S of Cedric Hardwicke and Helena Pickard (?) holding up flowers. Next to be featured is Miss Fay Compton's Dishonoured House. A tent outside of which signs advertise Elixir of Life at 2'6 and Booths Gin. C/U of Fay Compton beckoning people into her gin house! Various personalities have a go at "Chuckapenny". We see some of the stars laughing and throwing coins. One of the women may be Marjorie Gordon (?) Adrienne Brune is seen standing on the edge of the merry-go-round calling people up.

"See if you can recognise these stars" reads an intertitle. Leslie Henson and Heather Thatcher appear together, Heather plays the drums. Posters advertise the Princes Theatre. Leslie pretends to catch a bottle of champagne with a fishing rod. Tallulah Bankhead is seen taking a bite of a young girl's biscuit. Peggy Wood and some of the C.B. Cochran's chorus girls eat ice cream from little bowls. We see them in C/U then in a wider shot.
