Crazy people in fancy costumes running around Paris at night; c. 1920s(?). Looks like a fun party. Opens w/ shot of a few girls wearing rather bizarre paper head-dresses- -some look like winged insects!2 other girls pose on sidewalk in costumes inspired by The Shiek one in harem style veil; the other in drag; wearing pants & short vest & little hat w/ jewel & feather in front. Party-goers ride standing up in the back of a car; most the crowd watching are in normal street clothes. Next a scene which looks very theatrical: a procession of costumed revellers walk down staircase and toward cam; to pose around a circular basin (probably a fountain but not turned on).
Mostly young women in long gowns; though a few wear pointed hats & pierrot style costumes. A man & 2 women stand on the wall of the pool while the others hold hands and run around and around it. Shots of this frenzied dance from various angles. Then more group poses. A little scene is played: girl sits on edge of fountain.; while a guy (?) in 18th century powdered wig etc. comes down steps; bows deeply; kisses her hand; they exit together. More shots of the partygoers; laughing & acting silly. A couple kiss. Carnival; wacky; celebration; holidays.
