C/U of one of the girls deep in concentration as she turns her barrel. L/S of other women at different stage of their butter making - forming the butter into pats. "...but Sport generally means something happening in the great outdoors. Whether it's old English Archery - " L/S of a line of women taking aim with bows and arrows. M/S of some of the women taking aim. C/U of the target as arrows hit it. Shot from behind a woman as she takes aim. C/U of one of the women (or is it a man in drag?!) taking aim. C/U of her face after she has fired the shot. M/S of women looking at their arrows embedded in the target. "- or a Continental counterpart in the snow by the bleaker sex -" reads the next intertitle. Low angle shot of four women in white swimsuits taking aim with bows and arrows. They fire a shot. C/U of the target - they are in snowy woodland - brrr! Shot from behind of the girls taking aim. More girls (this time in black swimwear) have a game of rounders or baseball in the snow. C/U of girl taking a shot with the back stop behind her. Group of about 12 girls in swimsuits have a snowball fight. "In a land fit for "Zeros", Jack and Jill make the best of things. Moving shot of people ice skating. L/S of someone ice skating on a frozen lake. Slow motion footage of two women ice skaters having a race. "Way down South in Virginia, Eve decides to annex another little pastime of Adam." Top shot of playing field where two large groups of schoolgirls run from either side towards a very large ball (about 5 foot high). One girl climbs on top as the ball is rolled along. She then falls off and the ball is rolled over her. M/S of the girls moving along holding the ball up high. "The weaker sex - bless us - rolling home." C/U of the ball being rolled with one of the girls standing on top of it then falling off - pulling another girl with her. Very "St. Trinian's" as the girls all wear school uniform and flash off their stocking tops. The ball is eventually deposited in a pen - presumably the ultimate aim of the game.
