  • Princess Marie Louise was not Queen Victoria's last living granddaughter. That distinction belongs to Princess Alice of Athlone who died twenty-five years later at the age of 97. At the time of HH Princess Alice death, Princess Beatrice (the daughter of the Duke of Edinburgh and the wife of the Spanish prince Alfonso d'Orleans), the Marquis of Carisbrooke, Queen Victoria Eugene of Spain, and the Hon Lady Patricia Ramsey were all living. Some were in attendance at this service. So strange that this was not caught and corrected.
