SV Captains exchange pennants, and referee tosses up. SV Crowd. GV Hungary kick-off and start mild attack. SV Crowd. LV Hungary attacking. Ball to left wing. Nandor (Sandor) Hidegkuti receives, shoots at goalkeeper's legs. Ball cleared and passes to Haddock after ball has been deflected. Haddock shoots down field, Ring chases it. SV Crowd. LV Ring dribbles to goal tackled but manages to pass ball to Johnstone who shoots off side goal. SV Crowd. SV Play around Hungary's goal. Ball to Hidegkuti who does a back-slip and clears. LV Hungary attacking down left wing. Sandor Kocsis centres ball and Haddock clears it from goal mouth. SV Jozsef Bozsik slams, ball is deflected off Haddock, into net. GV Martin winded gets up. GV Crowd. SV Scotland attacking. Ball received. Ring dribbles towards goal through legs of Gyula Lorant, ball goes to Hungarian who quickly passes back to Lorant, passes on to Karoly Sandor. Cumming intercepts him, both fall down, but Cumming jumps up quickly and swings play back, over to right wing. SV Ball passes goal mouth area and is received by Johnstone. He kicks back over head. SV Hungary attack down left wing. Ball out of touch. GV Crowd. SV Sandor passes ball to left wing. Ball bobs about, Ferenc Puskas receives, centres immediately. SV Hidegkuti receives and dashes through to score. Players kiss him. SV Crowd. SV Play around, get ball upfield. LV Hungary attacking. Hidegkuti chases ball in front of goal area, he back-heels ball to Sandor, Sandor passes to left wing but Cunningham snaps it up and kicks upfield. LV Scotland attacking in front of goal mouth. Ring collects, is intercepted but Ring takes and centres. Hungarian heads it clear. Ring collects again, shoots, but goalkeeper collects and clears. SV Crowd. SCU Hungary attacks, Sandor collects, is intercepted by Haddock and Cumming, but Cumming gets away with ball and centres to Johnstone. Johnstone beats two defenders and Ring collects, shoots Scotland's first goal.

SV Crowd. SV Mate Fenyvesi running towards and shoots. Cunningham collects in front of goal and clears. SV Wardhaugh collects, dribbles upfield, passes to team mate who passes it through but Mihaly Lantos collects and clears. LV Sandor running with ball, shoots and scores. Massed crowd. GV Scotland kick off for second half. They attack. GV Crowd. SV McKenzie taking free kick, pan with ball as Johnstone receives and heads it into net. Scotland's second goal. GV Scottish players congratulate. SV Hysterical crowd with banners. SV Scotland attacking. Reilly has ball. Lorant brought down and Reilly goes onto clear upfield to Wardhaugh. He shoots out of frame. LV Goalie Farago jumps out to receive. Goalie clears. SV Hungary are pressing around Scotland's goal mouth until McKenzie snaps up, loose ball and tears down right wing - good show. SV Crowd. SV McKenzie continuing his run, centres. Pan as Ring receives in front of goal and shoots. Goalie Farago punches clear. LV Hungary attacking at other end, much milling about ball out to McKenzie who receives and clears. SV Play in midfield. Scotland swing into attack but Hungarian gets hold of ball (at end of scene). Crowd. SV Play in front of Scottish goal. Fast moving stuff. SV People watching. SV Play around Scottish goal, Hungarian kicks to score but ball hits cross car, rebounds into play. SV Ball into net. Final score, 4-2 for Hungarians. SV Players leaving field.
