    Spain / France frontier.

Shots of troops passing over into France during the Spanish Civil War - possibly Republican troops (not very clear). Officers discuss passage with French officials. Some of the troops give a fascist type salute (hence the confusion). Republican troops pass over into France during civil war there are piles of rifles and guns at the side of the road, although some of the vehicles have large guns mounted on them. French troops guard the border. More troops stream across. Shot of officer with injured leg. Tanks cross over the border - this looks like a retreat rather than an invasion. Some of the border scenes appear to be at le Perthius.
