    No titles.

London, probably filmed in the Pathe Studios.

Several quick shots, some speeded up, of noisy situations and objects, such as a steam train tearing along and whistling, ship funnel hooting, football crowd cheering, field gun firing and so on.

M/S of Eammon Andrews sitting at a desk with his hands over his ears. He says "Ooh, noisy, wasn't it? Yes, well, it's just our way of introducing another edition of Pictorial Sound Quiz". He plays several sounds on records and we have 10 seconds to guess what they are. Then we hear the sounds again, accompanied by C/Us of the action.

The sounds heard - and seen - are: toast being scrapped, medicine being shaken in a bottle, nails being filed, someone writing with a scratchy pen, fizzy ginger ale being poured into a glass and a note being obtained by running a finger around the rim of a glass.

Good C/Us of records going around, stylus on record and 10 seconds ticking away on a stopwatch.

Eammon asks us "Well, how many did you guess? Still able to believe your ears? Yes? No?" and chuckles.
