Titles read: 'SOMETHING TO SEE THROUGH!'

    Austria.

Exterior shot panning across a large glass factory. Inside we see the processes involved in making a pane of glass. Men put the mixed raw materials into furnaces, then the molten glass is poured out to make sheets. Men carry a pane of the unprocessed, opaque glass off.

Models demonstrate how heated glass can be drawn out into a thin sheet. An automatic cutting machine cuts the glass to the required length. Shots of machinery working. A pane of glass is dropped flat onto a table without breaking because the air underneath forms a cushion.
