Title reads: "Slum clearance in Johannesburg".

    Johannesburg, South Africa.

Various shots of Prospect Town - a poverty stricken shanty town inhabited by black population. We see a group of men moving a piano and people packing up their belongings. The inhabitants and their belongings are loaded onto trucks and taken to new estate outside the city.

Various shots of, mainly white, workers demolishing the township. Bull dozers and tractors on caterpillar wheels flatten the shacks to piles of rubble. A railway goods yard will be built on the site.
