    Easter Rebellion in Dublin; 1916. Opens with title frame: Liberty Hall - the notorious birthplace of the rebellion etc. Aftermath of riots. Shot of building with broken windows; sign on building Irish Transport and General Workers' Union. Pan right; showing part of building missing - bombed;collapsed wall; rubble pile on ground. People in FG. Closer shot of entrance; with Liberty Hall over doorway; soldier stands on step. CU Man holds up paper to camera: Irish War News. The Irish Republic Soldiers reclining against hay; pan left. Then shot of soldiers coming up to an improvised counter where women sell tea and snacks. Soldiers riding through street on horseback.

    Title frame informs us that of the rebels headquarters; only the bare walls now remain. Large building with pillars; people running around in front. Then a shot panning across much destruction; wrecked car; pieces of other wagons; furniture; collapsed building in BG. Men stand looking up at building as a big chunk falls from above and lands in street in cloud of dust. Pan down street; ruins; shells of buildings; bricks on ground - on to main street with many people walking. Truly a war zone. Violence; revolution; nationalism; independence; Sinn Fein.
