    VS. Both Houses of Parliament meet in the General Assembly in Rome to vote for a new Premier. Ballot slips are placed into small urn by the ministers (Signor Leone, Moro, Pietro Nenni). While the vote is taking place the ministers just sit about. VS. New President Saragat poses for press. VS. Signor Saragat is cheered on arrival at Assembly to take oath. VS. Mounted band accompanies Signor Saragat on his journey by car to the Quirinale Palace.
