Introductory intertitle reads: "Over thirty years ago they made a film on the Continent of their idea of a lady in love sort of hinting it to her partner." M/S of a man and a woman in front of a painted backdrop. The woman dances around - spinning as if possessed. She then falls down in a chair as if in a faint and fans herself. There is much flirtatious behaviour between the couple, "come hither eyes", beckoning gestures etc. The man fans the woman with the tail of his jacket. The woman poses, she eventually sits down on the chair and her beau sits on the arm of the chair with his arm around her. He strokes her hair and arm then kisses her hand. He is rapturous. Their flirtation ends in an embrace. The man is possibly a woman in man's clothes. This is presumably film from the late 1800s.

"Funny, wasn't it? Today, Eve has another way of remembering the kind of fellow she has a date with..." reads an intertitle. C/U of woman stretching out her arms. She is standing in front of the backdrop used in the first part of "Jewels" - the William Morris style wallpaper. She holds the top of her dress to the side, there is a printed or appliquéd motif of a woman on the dress. The woman is wearing a sailor suit, so presumably the model is dating a sailor. Intertitle reads: "- and as many ways of indicating her desires as a Flag Signaller." C/U of model holding out a scarf with the words: "In need of food" printed on it! The scarf also has a design which looks like a lighthouse printed on it. The model ties the scarf around her neck. C/U of the words. Intertitle reads: "And who could resist this invitation?" Model turns to show another scarf she wears which has a desert island motif. C/U of the words on the scarf which read "Land Here". Bizarre! Another scarf which features flag motifs is tied around the neck. The model shows how the points of the scarf have the words "Yes" and "No" on them. C/U of the model holding out the scarf to read "Yes" and batting her eyelids.
