M/S of Denise Warren, she stretches her leg over a rail and starts doing ballet exercises. M/S of another girl exercising, L/S of four of the girls doing leg stretches. L/S of four other girls coming to join them, they stand in a line. The narrator explains four of them are from the Windmill Theatre and the other four are from Murray's Cabaret club. Doug Lyons, who is chief coach at ABC ten pin bowling alley, stands in front of them and starts demonstrating how to bowl. The girls nod, M/S as they practice the technique, various shots of them practising.
L/S of the eight girls inside a bowling alley, the girls are practising for a showgirls league. Doug is holding hands with two of the girls as he demonstrates the arm movements again, they step back and practice. C/U of Doug and the girls as they move towards the camera practising their bowling action. C/U as Doug brings a bowling ball up to Denise, he examines her fingers to see if it is the right size for her, she tries it and swings it experimentally. C/U of Doug, L/S as he takes the ball from her and bowls it down the alley. M/S as the pins are knocked down and replaced with another set. L/S as Denise bowls the ball, M/S of three pins still standing. M/S as one of the Murray girls bowls, one pin is left standing. M/S as Denise bowls again. C/U of the balls, Murray girl Bella Sheriff picks one up and bowls, others line up behind her. M/S of all but one of the pins falling. M/S of Bella bowling again, L/S of the ball hitting the pins. L/S from the end of the lane as Denise and Bella bowl at the same time. M/S as the remaining pin is knocked down. L/S from behind the girls as they bowl.
