Acros, Southern Spain. Nice travelogue style full issue concerning the manufacture of sherry and the "Sherry Fiesta". Nice footage of the celebrations - a parade through the town, a display of bullfighting and party in the evening.

Various shots of the town and a bull ranch. Dick Norton (the commentator?!) is seen on horseback. Narrator states that 7 out of 10 bottles of sherry produced find their way to Britain so Pathe Pic's magic carpet has taken us to the sherry district. Various shots of a "bodega" where these famous wines are blended. Workers in the vineyards. Grapes are harvested. Grapes are transported on horseback. Jerez - shots of the town.

Grapes are loaded into presses at Williams & Humbert bodega. Barrels are rolled along. Storks wander around the Sandeman's bodega. Interior of sherry production centre. Chief taster samples some of the sherry by smelling it. Ceremony of the blessing of the grapes. Various shots of the "vintage queen" and a ceremonial treading - four men stomp up and down on some grapes. Sherry is poured and drunk by a woman in traditional dress. Girls in brightly coloured clothes climb aboard a carriage. Famous Terry horses pull a carriage. Horse are ridden around the town. Fairground rides. Young girl in Spanish costume eating candy floss. Parade - people dressed in strange costumes, nice shots of girls in traditional Spanish costumes on floats. A pretend bullfight. Glamour girl - beauty queen on float.

Carriages are driven around a bullring. Girls wear huge mantillas. Bullfight. Good shots of the matadors parading. Horrible bullfighting scenes (unless you like that kind of thing). Orson Welles is in the audience - a couple of shots of Orson watching the bullfight and smoking a cigar. "Cruel though it may be, there is artistry in the bullring." states Dick. Party with lots of traditional Spanish flamenco dancing. Partygoers use fans to keep cool. Dick uses one of those hand held battery operated fans. Two teenage girls dance together, one is dressed as a man.
