He explains to the audience that he is going to knock a four inch nail through and inch and a half plank. He takes a piece of cloth and rolls it up to protect his hand. He says: "The chief part about this feat is to get it half way through with one blow." He bangs the nail in with the palm of his hand - ouch!
C/U of the nail embedded in the plank. Saxon says: "You now just give it a few gentle taps" - he whacks it with some force. "Then, if you have very strong teeth, you can pull it out again like this. He pulls it out with his teeth.
