    Various shots of sea cadets being put through their paces on a training ship - "a sea school skippered by Captain Watts". Cadets in life jackets jump from a small ship into the sea and swim to life belts. They learn flag waving (semaphore), haul ropes, navigation techniques, tying ropes.

    Cadets in life jackets sit in a small boat and are lowered onto the water. A trainer fires off a rocket. A boy is instructed on the use of a sextant. Brief shots of cadets peeling potatoes, brushing their bell bottoms and polishing a ship bell.
