Start of the international football match between Austria and Scotland at Hampden Park, Glasgow. SCU. Two captains, Ernest Ocwirk of Austria and George Young of Scotland exchanging flags and they shake hands. Referee and two linesmen are with them (title super over). GV. Massed crowd. LV. Scotland in the dark shirts kicks off. Austria in the white shirts. Hugh Baird turns round and passes the ball back to a half back. He flicks it back to Baird who tries to set an attack in motion. Austria intercepts and the ball is passed to Wagner who turns round and kicks it down the right wing. SV. An Austrian receives, passes the ball forward and beats Young. Grohs fools John Hewie and centres the ball across the Scottish goal area where an Austrian receives it and shoots. Tom Younger does a dive and grabs the ball. He gets up and kicks up-field. SCU. Small boys watching. SV. Mike Cullen with ball just outside the Austrian goal area. He kicks it across the goal where Johnny McKenzie taps the ball down to Alfie Conn who beats Kollman and shoots. B. Engelmaier dives but is beaten. Ball in the net. Scotland 1 - Austria 0. SV. Scottish players running back congratulating. GV. Massed crowd cheering. SV. Austrian goal area. The ball comes across the goal but an Austrian heads it clear. Koerner beats Doug Cowie to the ball and flicks it to Gerhart Hanappi who receives and kicks up-field. SV. Crowd. LV. Austria are attacking. Austrian player with the ball, shoots in time to beat off a tackle from a Scottish man. Younger is beaten and the ball is in the net. Players run back congratulating. Score 1-1. SV. Crowd, not too happy. SV. Scottish goal area. Austria on the attack. P. Halla with the ball. He centres the ball. Younger leaps out of his goal, grabs the ball and falls at the feet of an Austrian player. GV. Massed crowd.

(Half-Time). SV Austria attacking. Haumer with the ball, he passes inside to Koerner who receives. He pushes the ball through Young's legs to Hanappi who runs on and through tackled by Parker, Hanappi shoots and it just skims the post. Hanappi holds his head. SV. The ball waiting to be goal kicked. Younger runs into frame and kicks the ball upfield. LV. Scotland attacking. Cohn with the ball. Oswick runs in to tackle but Cohn shoots and Englemaier just manages to carry the ball and the backs rush in and clear. CU Scottish soldier watching. LV Scotland attacking. Johnny McKenzie with the ball making a long run down the right, Killman challenges him but he manages to keep possession and Killman still continues to chase him. McKenzie again beats Killman and runs on and centres the ball into the Austrian goalmouth, but the long run was fruitless, there are no Scottish forwards there and a back brings it away. SV Younger waiting in his goal for an attack. LV Haumer with the ball running towards the goal being pursued by Parker. He shoots, but it goes into the side netting.
