    School children leaving Australia House. London.

    Education; primary. Schoolchildren; accompanied by schoolmasters & schoolmistresses; c. 1920's; leaving exhibition at Australia House; which included film of Australian industries. First; boys ages c. 9-11 coming out doors and down steps. The boys wear jackets; short pants and knee socks; cloth caps.

    Next; girls exit; walking arm in arm in groups of 4. More variety of dress here- -different caps; scarves; etc. Looks like a whole girls' school: many more girls than boys. One can guess by looking which are the popular girls; which are troublemakers; which outcasts; etc. Many of the children notice the camera and stare or grin at it. Fun; cute; very human & endearing. Friendship; uniforms; England.
