  • Description

    River Thames at Chelsea, London.

Lovely outfits for the larger lady, including one maternity wear item which is not modelled by a pregnant mum, but great if you want a marvellous tiny yellow hat covered in feathers.

M/S model emerges from hatch of boat, wearing a light blue suit with yellow hat and gloves. Intercut with shots of audience on terrace, mostly women, laughing and chatting, wearing hats. One of them is Jeanne Heal. The next model has a blue suit trimmed with velvet and embossed velvet circles . Linda Leigh herself models a soft pink embroidered dress with detachable overskirt. A slim model wears a mustard coloured shortish maternity jacket, with rick rack effect. Linda Leigh returns wearing a dark blue suit with white hat and gloves. Shot from above of models parading on the boat.

This is Linda Leigh's Autumn Collection.

Note : The documentation file includes a news cutting, and Autumn Collection programme
from the day 20th June 1956.

10 telling images selected from British Pathé's extensive WWI footage. 'The war to end all wars' was a war without parallel: over 70 million military personnel were involved and over 17 million people died.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
