    Full titles read: "RICHARD GOOLDEN."

L/S of the comedian Richard Goolden entering the Pathe studio wearing an overcoat and bowler hat. There is much hustle and bustle inside with people moving ladders and equipment. He approaches an elderly gentleman and says that he has a complaint to make about a 'Mr Pathe'. He reads the letter, "... we should so like to make a short of you, if you come at 12 o'clock we would be happy to shoot you."

Goolden is unhappy at being threatened with being shot. The elderly man calms him down and persuades him to say something to the watching cinema audience, which after some confusion he does in front of a large camera. He says (stuttering) "Ladies and gentlemen Goodyear afternoon ... I wish you all a happy new Christmas and a prosperous year, ... and always remember that although the days may be dark every silver side has a lining."
