Item title reads - Review of Irish events during 1923. Ireland.

Intertitle - 'January 22nd. Irish Air Force established.' L/S as members of the air force stand to attention holding their rifles, they put them down by their sides again. L/S of a row of aeroplanes on an airfield, people work on them. M/S of one aeroplane. M/S of an officer in uniform stood by it.

Intertitle - 'February 20th. Ireland's new Police Force - the Civic Guard parade and President Cosgrave takes salute.' M/S as the civic guard march along. M/S of President Cosgrave with his hat raised as they march past. M/S of them marching again.

Intertitle - 'March 4th. Mike McTigue wins the Middleweight championship of the world from Siki.' C/U of Mike with his gloves on doing a few boxing moves for the camera.

Intertitle - 'April 3rd. Customs Frontier established on the Northern Border.' Two men walk out of a hut towards a car. M/S as an official checks a suitcase then puts it back in the car, he steps down.

Intertitle - 'May 18th. Wireless romance. Owen McKenna, a wireless operator, weds Lady Pleasance Rous.' M/S as they walk by a cottage. C/U of the couple together, they chat and smile.

Intertitle - May 29th. President Cosgrave visits Kilkenny and addresses his constituents.' L/S as President William Cosgrave walks through the large crowd.

Intertitle - 'June 21st. Three Irishmen set out on a twenty ton boat to tour the world.' M/S of the three men on their boat, one holds a sailor doll, one has what looks like a feather duster, and the third is holding a little black and white kitten. L/S as the boat sails off from the harbour.

Intertitle - July 15th. Ireland's premier motorcycle race - Leinster. One hundred inaugurated.' Various shots as the competitors set off and ride round the corner, one falls off but gets back on again.

Intertitle - 'July 17th. Irish language revival. Classes for teachers in full swing.' M/S as a group of men and women sit on the grass or chairs in a field, the camera pans across to another group, two teachers point to blackboards.

Intertitle - 'Cenotaph unveiled in memory of General Michael Collins and President Arthur Griffith.' L/S as the covering is pulled off the large Celtic cross. M/S as guards salute. M/S of profiles of Michael Collins and Arthur Griffith carved into the memorial.
