    Cocooning the reserve fleet.

    Portsmouth, Hampshire.

    L/S warships in harbour, battleships, cruisers, frigates, minesweepers etc. Various shots as they preserve and package the gun emplacement, this is known as cocooning. The netting is sprayed with plastic, bitumen and paint. M/S as man cuts observation window. M/S as another man seals off the gun muzzles. Various shots as they dehumidify the compartments, observe and seal. Various shots of reserve ships cocooned. M/S British naval ensign flying.
