    Germany.

    Operation stork is the evacuation of children from the devastated German towns to the country. C/U Children and a dog with evacuation tickets attached to them. Most of the children are smiling and laughing. Not sad evacuees. C/U shoulder patch of the S.C.F. (Save The Children Fund). Woman from SCF talks to a young girl who holds a large doll.

    German children entering and leaving German hospital train, train moving off. Alversdorf and Oldenburg station name signs. Convoy of British army lorries (troop carrying vehicles) moving along German country road. The children wave from the open back of the trucks.

    C/U studies German children as they are greeted at their new homes. C/U of group of children petting a sheep. One of the little girls sits on the back of the sheep and is given a ride.
