    Roman Fort of Reculvers on the north Kent coast.

    Various shots of ancient ruins beside a beach. The twin towers of the Reculvers still stand, as do some of the walls. The rest has been eroded by the sea. According to narrator the fort was built to defend the passage between the Isle of Thanet and the mainland.
