    RAF regiment manoeuvres at Catterick, Yorkshire.

    Various shots soldiers running towards camera, they throw themselves on ground and start to set up mortar. The soldiers are doing National Service, they are on an exercise to protect the RAF air base. C/U loading and firing mortar. L/S troops rushing across field. L/S troops running towards trees and crouching behind them. C/U officer looking through binoculars.

    M/S smokescreen rocket firing, camera pans with it as it explodes on ground. M/S troops come over ridge and charge forward. Various shots troops advancing through smoke screen towards camera. Opposing team of soldiers in foxhole open fire, fight ensues and troops in foxhole are "killed". C/U soldiers pretending to be dead, he suddenly jumps to life, picks up helmet and rifle and runs out of picture. M/S he joins ranks at end of exercise.
