  • I was a five year old kid living opposite the Simpsons over the railway bridge, Parkhall street in 1959. I was a bit wary of the the little boys as they were a bit coorse and I may be wrong about this but my my tin pram was buried in a deep puddle! Agnes was a kindlier big sister.

    It's interesting there is also a current large family in EK that's been in the news recently.

    Clarks shoe provided all of them with a pair of shoes if they could have their feet photographed in a line for a newspaper advert.

    Before our tenement was compulsory purchased and demolished by EK corporation, STV came to film an old waterpump at the side of the house on the railbridge side, I've no idea why but I would love to know.
